Estimating your child support payments
You may want to estimate what your child support payments might be, for a range of reasons. To help you, we have a range of tools available online.
Important information
- You don't have to work out your child support assessment yourself — we work it out for you.
- If you don't know the other parent's details, such as their income, you won't be able to use the estimator or worksheet.
- If you have two or more child support assessments, the worksheet may be difficult for you to use and the estimator will not work for you.
Child support estimator
This service may give you an estimate of how much child support you may pay or receive. It can’t estimate your current child support payments or compare old and new estimates.
Child support - family assistance estimator
This service may give you an estimate of how much child support you may pay or receive, the amount of family assistance you may receive, or if you have less than 35 per cent care of your children, the amount of rent assistance you may receive.
This service can't estimate payments for every family situation. For important information and to access the estimator, click here.
Child support worksheets
Some parents and non-parent carers may not be able to use the child support calculator or the child support - family assistance estimator. You may be able to use worksheets to estimate your child support payments.
