EasyPay Terms and Conditions

The Child Support Agency can now accept Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card payments for child support, either online or over the phone.

Before using this service you should consider what is the most appropriate and cost effective payment option available that assists you to meet your child support obligations.

Payment Value and Card Payment Fee

A minimum payment value of $10.00 is required.

A card payment fee applies to transactions made using this service. This fee is the non–GST component of the fee the CSA incurs from its banker for these transactions. When making a payment you will be advised of the fee amount and payment totals before you are asked to confirm the transaction. Information about the current fee percentage is available on the Government EasyPay website www.optussmartpay.com/governmenteasypay–csa/.

Transaction Receipt

The Government EasyPay service will provide a receipt that identifies the payment amount that will be credited to your child support account, as well as the applicable card payment fee. The details will be displayed as CSA Payment and CSA Card Paym’t Fee on your credit or debit card statement.

Government EasyPay Service Processing Times

Your payment needs to reach the Child Support Agency on or before its due date. Government EasyPay is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Payments take approximately 24–48 hours to be credited to your account, longer on weekends and applicable public holidays. Payments made after 6pm Sydney Australia EST, on weekends or on applicable public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Unavailability of the Service

The Government EasyPay service, through unforseen circumstances, may sometimes be unavailable due to technical issues. During these periods if you need to make a payment you should use an alternative payment method to ensure your payment is received by the due date and you do not incur a late payment penalty. If you cannot use an alternative payment method or make your payment, contact the Payments Hotline on 1800 241 272 to discuss your options.

Refund Policy

If you believe you have made an incorrect payment, or have overpaid your child support and are entitled to a refund, please contact a Customer Service Officer on 131 272.
