Child Support Agency (CSA) Deputy General Manager and local Chapman resident, Christine Hagan, is running in the Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton Relay on Saturday 25 February 2006.
'I'm very excited and honoured to be running in the Queen's Baton Relay,' Ms Hagan said, 'it really is a once in a lifetime opportunity.'
Christine was nominated for this honour by Telstra because of her contribution to service delivery in the Child Support Agency and Centrelink.
'It means a lot to me to be able to represent the thousands of hard-working customer service officers in CSA and Centrelink who are so committed to our customers,' Christine said.
'Although, I must admit, running on the same day as sporting legends like Petria Thomas and Rob De Castella is a little bit intimidating, the highlight of my sporting career to date is winning the Sir Donald Bradman award for the most number of hits in a golf competition!'
Christine will be running in the Queen's Baton Relay at approximately 5pm Saturday 25 February 2005 between 496 Northbourne Avenue, Dickson (near Antill Street) and Wakefield Avenue. Come and cheer her on!
