FAQ: What if my ex and I can’t agree on our care arrangements?
There are a few options to reach a decision about your care arrangements with your ex partner including a written parenting plan, an agreement (oral or written) with the other parent about the level of care or a court order about care, which you will need to supply to us.
To come to a decision, mediation services are available to separated parents at Family Relationship Centres where you can gain assistance in developing a parenting plan or call the Family Relationship Advice Line on 1800 050 321 (freecall).
If we can’t establish the exact number of nights the child/ren are in each parent’s care the CSA can make a determination of the number of nights of care based on information received.
