FAQ: Are my assets included as part of my income?
No. Your immediate assets such as properties, vehicles or furniture for example are not included in your child support income.
However, if you have a child support case and incur a large child support debt, you need to be aware that you can be taken to court and forced to sell your assets. This will only take place as a last resort, if we have tried all other ways to work with you to recover the child support you owe.
Further information about gaining assistance to pay outstanding child support is available online or call CSA on 131 272.
