Important note: longer call waiting times on Mondays

Please be aware that more of our customers tend to call the CSA on Mondays. If you need to contact us on a Monday, you may experience longer waiting times before your call is answered.

Your call may be answered more quickly and you will have to wait less time if you can contact us later in the week.

You can also use our secure online service, CSAonline, which lets you view, update and manage your child support online.

Call recording
Most calls to and from the CSA are now monitored and recorded for quality assurance purposes, to improve customer service and increase confidence in accountability.

CSA also uses call recording to review customer interactions when investigating and resolving customer complaints or reviewing objections.

If you choose not to have your conversation recorded, visit us face-to-face, write to us, or use our secure online service CSAonline.

If you do not speak English and need help from the
Child Support Agency, ring the Translating and
Interpreting Service (TIS) on 13 14 50
between
8.30am and 4.45pm (local time), Monday to Friday.
They will set up a three-way conversation between
you, an interpreter and a Child Support Officer.

*Calling the CSA from outside Australia

To call the CSA from outside Australia you must first dial your country's international dialling code. This varies depending on your country or region.

If you are unsure of the code for your region, please contact your local telephone service provider. After dialling the international dialling code, dial Australia's country code (61), and then dial 131 272.

In summary, to contact CSA from outside Australia dial: Your international dialling code XXXX + 61 + 131 272.

Please keep your child support reference number handy so you can enter it when prompted. This will ensure your call is directed appropriately.
