Child Support Employer Calculator

To assist employers work out the net pay to the employee, taking into account child support payments, the protected earnings amount and the basic tax liability.

Please note: For those employers where the CSA has initiated the deduction of child support from an employee's salary, wage or contract payments (Employer Withholding), the CSA has sent you a letter and new deduction schedule relating to the new Child Support Scheme (started 1 July 2008).

You should use the child support amount from the new deduction schedule in the employer calculator.

This calculator uses ATO tax scales for the 2008-2009 financial year.  This calculator also uses the 2008 protected earnings amount.

The results from using this calculator are indicative only. They may not be the same as a Child Support Assessment done by the Child Support Agency. If you require an exact assessment, contact Employer Services on 131 272 and speak with a Client Service Officer.
