Court orders for care

If there's a court order that outlines care levels, your child support assessment will be based on the order unless both parents agree to change it, for example by parenting plan or oral agreement.

We have no legal ability to enforce levels of care specified in court orders. If orders are contravened, either parent may seek legal advice, attend family dispute resolution or apply to the Family Courts.
