Advocacy and support for parents

There are a number of groups, websites, products and services available to support separated and single parents.

Some of the groups that support parents are:

• Shared Parenting Council of Australia (a representative group)
• National Council of Single Mothers and Their Children (self-help group)
• Sole Parents Union (non-profit community organisation)
• Online Magazine for Modern Mums
• Mensline Australia provides a free, 24-hour telephone support service for men with relationship and family concerns: call 1300 789 978
• Lone Fathers Association of Australia (a national peak body)
• Dads in Distress (support group)
