APS explained

The Australian Public Service (APS) provides advice to the government of the day and develops
and implements government policy.
The APS provides challenging and rewarding careers in a variety of occupations, ranging from
customer service officers, right through to environmental scientists, and offers both on-going
and non-ongoing positions, which may be full-time, part-time or casual.
